What You Should Do If You Test Positive

If you or someone close to you tests positive for COVID-19, here are some basic steps to follow to manage the illness and prevent spreading it to others:

Isolate immediately: Stay in a separate room with good ventilation and avoid contact with others.
Monitor symptoms: Keep a check on temperature, oxygen levels (using a pulse oximeter), and symptoms like cough, breathlessness or body aches.
Stay hydrated and eat light meals: Drinking enough water and eating easy-to-digest food can help maintain energy levels.
Take medicines only as advised: Do not self-medicate. Follow the advice of a doctor or local health authority.
Wear a mask at home: If you're moving around in shared spaces, always wear a mask and ensure others do too.
