Shillong Teer, a lottery game conducted by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association, is highly popular in the state of Meghalaya. In it, the winners seem to be determined by the number of arrows fired.

At around 4 pm or 5 pm every day, the winners of the first and second rounds of the Shillong Teer game are declared without fail.

The Shillong Teer is a legal game, which is played from Monday to Saturday and not on Sundays. It is regulated by the laws established under the Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax Act. Around 12 archery clubs form the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association .

In this game, the players have to predict the number of arrows fired by 50 archers at the Polo Ground in Shillong. There are a maximum of 30 and 20 arrows to be fired in the first and second rounds, respectively, in two minutes each.

The other such competitions held in the state are Jowai Teer, Ladrymbai Teer and Khanapara Teer.
