Shikhar Dhawan is 'force-fed' by his cook, and it is one hilarious reel

Shikhar Dhawan is a treat to watch: whether he is at the batting crease, or he is doing a thigh five after taking a crucial catch, or he is featuring in one of those hilarious Instagram reels.

His latest reel has a situation a lot of you would have encountered while visiting relatives or friends who believe that the best place to express their love is at the dining table.

The reel has Dhawan seated at a dining table, a fully loaded plate in front of him, and two persons, one of them identified in an earlier reel as his cook, standing on either side persuading him rather forcefully to have more rice and curry.


"Arrey nahin jagah hai ( There is no space)," screams a helpless Dhawan. "Arrey, bahut jagah hai ( There is plenty more space)," shout back the other two, loading his plate further.

One of the guys in the reel is the same as the one identified as his cook in an earlier video, so this one could be from his home.

The video was a feast for Dhawan's 11 million followers on Twitter, and it garnered more nearly 4.5 lakh likes in less than 24 hours after posting.

Dhawan's reels are always an instant hit, not just because of his sharp sense of humour and self-effacing nature, but also for the way he draws in the people around him. His prize catch in a reel once was the normally staid Rahul Dravid.

“I feel because of my nature and energy I am able to gel well with everyone. It is very important to have fun while working. Work goes on, but that liveliness creates a very good bond, as you saw in my reel, which also had Rahul bhai,” Dhawan had said when asked about it.
