Rakhi Sawant was arrested on Thursday after a model-actress Sherlyn Chopra filed a police report accusing Sawant of using profanity to defame her. Following Sawant's arrest, Sherlyn Chopra was spotted outside the Amboli police station. Sheryl took a jibe at Salman Khan who always comes forward to help Rakhi in time of need. She told the media that no one is above the law. Taking pot shot at Salman Khan she said 'Rakhi Sawant ke bhai Salman Khan bhi sun lein.. koi bhi is desh ke constitution ke sath khilwad nahi kar sakta'
Sherlyn, while reacting to Rakhi’s arrest, said she was happy that police took action quickly. She clarified that her fight is against the sexual predators and not RakhiSheryl filed a complaint against Rakhi for making her illicit video and making it viral. Rakhi Sawant has been booked under Indian Penal Code 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), Sections 354A (sexual harassment of the nature of unwelcome physical contact and advances or a demand or request for sexual favours showing pornography), provisions of the Information Technology Act and 504 (insult intended to provoke breach of peace). The police questioned her for several hours regarding the allegations made against her. Rakhi applied for bail in court which was rejected.
The tussle between Rakhi and Sheryl has been going on for some time now. The war of words started between the two when Sheryln opposed Sajid Khan’s participation in Big Boss, saying that a sexual abuser was given the spotlight. During the Metoo movement Sheryl accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment.
