Shehzada Box Office Collection: Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon starrer makes a decent opening on day 1, mints approx Rs 6 Crore

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon-starrer 'Shehzada' made a decent start on day 1 of its release. The film which was released on February 17 minted around Rs 6 - Rs 6.5 crores net on day 1 across India. Helmed by Rohit Dhawan, the movie featured Aaryan and Sanon in the lead roles. Dhawan's directorial clashed with Hollywood's much-anticipated films the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Dhanush's Vaathi/SIR.


Shehzada is a remake of Telugu film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' which was released in 2020. The Telugu film featured Allu Arjun, and Pooja Hegde in the lead role, and the movie turned out to be a massive hit among the audience. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan's starter is filled with comedy, action and drama. Apart from Aaryan and Sanon, the movie also features Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy, Paresh Rawal, and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.



As per Box Office India, "In comparison to its relatively low and underwhelming progress, Shehzada has made a decent opening. The movie features a buy one, get one free deal up to a certain level, which gave the movie considerable momentum starting late Thursday night and has continued on Friday. As a result, the first day started with decent collections from which to develop, however, growth will be more difficult than usual because the incentive is increasing first-day collections."


Kartik Aaryan featured in Freddy alongside Alaya F. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon last featured in “Bhediya” alongside Varun Dhawan.
