While praising Virat Kohli for his innings against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match on Sunday, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor made a rare typo.

Since the Thiruvananthapuram MP is renowned for having a strong control over the English language, the typo caught netizens by surprise. Tharoor after watching the match took to Twitter to praise Virat Kohli for his match-winning performance of 82 not out against Pakistan.

While lauding Virat Kohli for his innings, Tharoor tweeted that the batter was a "genius" and "authetic" hero.

While a user asked the politician for the meaning of the word "authetic," another user said Tharoor misspelt the word "authentic." Another person commented if Shashi Tharoor could make a spelling error, they had no hope. One more user commented Tharoor mistyped the word in excitement.

Meanwhile, a user also came in to support Tharoor and said that "authetic" was the correct word. However, a few moments later, the politician accepted that his tweet contained a misspelt word.
