Sharmila Tagore recently opened up in an interview about acting in movies to be able to pay rent and make ends meet.

Sharmila Tagore, recently opened up in an interview to a media channel, about doing movies for paying rent and money. Otherwise, she would sign a movie for a colleague, who believed that the movie would do well if she was cast in it or if she liked the script. Currently, she feels free to do something different and nice as her children have settled and are leading their own lives.

Sharmila said she does not feel guilty at this time as women tend to not be there for children or doing enough for their families. She has also made a comeback to Bollywood after 12 years with the movie ‘Gulmohar’ directed by Rahul V. Chittella starring Manoj Bajpayee and Suraj Sharma.

The veteran actor plays 'Kusum’ in ‘Gulmohar’. Talking about her role in the movie, Sharmila said that her character has various layers just like in actual life and is not stereotypical like a mother or sister-in-law as the cinema goers have been seeing in Hindi movies.
