Shark Tank India: India's first Transgender pitcher Laxmi Narayan Tripathi's video takes internet by storm
Shark Tank India has released a new video clip of Season 1 featuring transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi presenting her business idea.

Reportedly, the released video is a compilation of some unseen pitches made during Shark Tank India 1. In the video, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is seen convincing the Shark Tank India season 1 judges to invest in her water business. Laxmi and Manish pitched for an investment of INR one crore at 10% equity. While talking about her brand, Laxmi said that usually firms employ trans people on a temporary basis and eventually push them out soon. She proudly stated that her firm does not follow this policy of gender bias, rather they hire people based on the evaluation of their skills.
Laxmi Narayan Tripathi’s confidence and sharp vision grabbed the attention of the judges as seen in the video. Though she couldn’t seal a deal with the sharks, she still managed to earn the support of judge Namita Thapar. Namita agreed to associate herself with Laxmi’s business as the latter aims to create employment with her firm. She said that her HR team would connect with Laxmi to take the idea to the next dimension. Shaadi.com CEO and one of Shark Tank India 1 and Shark Tank India 2 judges, Anupam Mittal also lauded Laxmi for her cause and spirit.
‘Kineer’ Water Services was started in 2018 by the social activist. The company has offered water services to renowned business entities such as Vistara Airlines, Sodexo, and Lalit Hotels. Nearly 350 transgenders have found employment with ‘Kineer.’ During her Shark Tank India 1 pitch, Laxmi revealed that her company is providing employment to transgenders who used to beg on the streets or were involved in prostitution. The founders aspire to make ‘Kineer’ one of the top 3 packaged drinking water companies in the country. They came to Shark Tank India to seek funds and invite the judges to be a part of the noble cause.
