'Shame on you': Jonty Rhodes slams troll who told him to pay for taxi driver's meal
Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes found himself at the center of online controversy when an internet troll accused him of neglecting to pay for his taxi driver's meal. The troll's tweet, accompanied by a photo of Rhodes in a Bengaluru ca...

"You could have ordered something for your taxi driver. Being Celebrity doesn’t give Class," an X user by the name of @IndiGenBharat tweeted with a picture of Jonty Rhodes having snacks in an unknown Bengaluru cafeteria on November 22, in which an unknown person can be seen on the opposite side of the table.
Jonty Rhodes today clarified the situation. Giving context, he explained that the person in the picture was a stranger who happened to share the same table, and it was the taxi driver who took the photo. Rhodes also revealed that he did, in fact, pay for his taxi driver's meal, debunking the baseless claims made by the online troll.
"I have been sitting on this reply for a couple of days. The gentleman at my table is a stranger to me, and my driver was taking the picture. He did not eat, just ordered for me some of his favourite food. He just had tea, and yes, I did pay for it #shameonyou," Rhodes replied.
After Rhodes' clarification, many X users commented on the post.
Another person said, "One should not comment without knowing the complete truth. It's not required to have an opinion on everything."
"Mocking a person only because he is celebrity and trying to give moral lessons is wrong. IndiGen Bharat Admin could have first asked instead of imagining stories himself. And also a rich, or a celebrity is not entitled to serve always. You gave a correct answer Mr. Jonty," said another X user.
Meanwhile, Rhodes shared another video from Bengaluru today lavishing praise on Murugan Cafe. "Walking around Bangalore is pleasant before the rush. Great tea, and coffee at #MuruganCafe and awesome to see a ‘master’ at work," Rhodes tweeted with a video.
