Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistan Cricket Board chief, handed over the Asia Cup trophy to the Pakistani team after the final. Shahid Afridi announced plans to hold a victory rally to celebrate the win. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif, in a post circulating online, praised the team’s performance, saying their fast bowlers were “like missiles.”

A screenshot of Pakistan PM Sharif went viral, claiming Pakistan had won all three matches against India. The post read:

Since India refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan has declared themselves as the winner of the Asia cup. Shahid Afridi has already started the victory march in Karachi, said another social media post.
