Shah Rukh Khan's 'dream' comes true as Knight Riders unveil stunning cricket stadium in Los Angeles ahead of LA Olympics

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has scored a major win off the field as his Knight Riders Group (KRG) officially unveiled a state-of-the-art cricket stadium in Pomona, Los Angeles, California.

The world-class venue is set to play a key role in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where it will host cricket matches, marking a significant milestone for the sport's rise in the United States.

An emotional SRK, who co-owns the Los Angeles Knight Riders franchise, celebrated the moment on social media, calling the stadium the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream.


"What started as a dream... turns into reality today. Welcoming you all to the Knight Riders Cricket Ground, LA. A place built not just for sports but also entertainment and for families... and memories that last forever," Shah Rukh wrote.

The actor also thanked Jay Shah, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Sanjog Gupta for supporting the ambitious project.



"This is for LA, for cricket fans across the globe, and for the Knight Riders family. Believe in Purple and Gold. Welcome to the home of LA Knight Riders," he added.

The celebrations don't stop there. The newly inaugurated Knight Riders Cricket Ground is set to host its first-ever competitive cricket match today. The venue will also become the official home ground of the Los Angeles Knight Riders, with the franchise preparing to play its maiden home fixture in Major League Cricket.

The stadium was built by Knight Riders Group, which owns IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and CPL team Trinbago Knight Riders, in partnership with Major League Cricket in the USA.

The stadium has state-of-the-art training facilities, locker rooms, luxury suites, dedicated parking, concessions, field lighting and an international-grade pitch to meet the International Cricket Council’s accreditation and enable the venue to host international cricket.
