Seven children storm wedding venue to stop father's fifth marriage in UP

Seven kids in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur jeopardised the plan of their father to consummate marriage for the fifth time. When the kids came to know that their father, Shafi Ahmad, 55, was getting married for the fifth time, the seven children and their mothers barged into the wedding venue and created a ruckus. According to the local reports, the incident happened on Tuesday.

When the children disclosed their identity to the bride's family, the bride family members started fighting with the the wives and children of Safi Ahmed.

Later a large number of people gathered at the spot and thrashed Shafi while the bride-to-be fled the wedding venue.


The children of the accused say that the father had divorced the woman from the first marriage and the second marriage. The children allege that his father had completed the third and fourth marriages discreetly.

Kids also informed the police about the incident. "The groom's children informed the police about the incident. Thereafter, we reached the spot and arrested the accused," the local police said.

The children accused that their father had stopped giving them money for monthly expenses and when they learnt about his fifth marriage, they decided to stop the wedding.
