Self-enumeration allows households to fill their details conveniently from home before the enumerator visits. The process is simple, secure, and available in multiple languages.
Step-by-Step Process (as per official guidelines):
- Visit the official Self-Enumeration Portal: https://se.census.gov.in
- Select your State/Union Territory (Telangana) and enter the Captcha.
- Enter the name of the Head of Household (this cannot be changed later), mobile number, and optional email ID.
- Verify with the OTP sent to your mobile (and email if provided).
- Choose your preferred language (English or any of the 15 Indian languages).
- Fill in the household and personal details, including marking your house location on the digital map (laptop/desktop recommended for better accuracy).
