Summer vacations in these states
Odisha: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday that schools will have summer vacation starting April 27 due to the ongoing heat wave conditions.West Bengal: West Bengal has already implemented school holidays from April 22. However, educational institutions in hill districts such as Darjeeling remain open.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh has preponed its summer break to April 20 – June 15, nearly two weeks earlier than usual.
Jharkhand: Schools in states like Jharkhand are advised to close temporarily due to extreme heat prevailing in some parts of the state.
Tripura: It has made school closures mandatory from April 24 to May 1.
Dehradun: The Dehradun district administration has ordered all schools to shut from Monday, 27 April. The directive extends to government and private institutions, covering classes 1 to 12, in addition to Anganwadi centres.
