PM Narendra Modi Flags Off Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat Corridor
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Meerut Metro and flagged off the Namo Bharat train at Shatabdi Nagar station, marking a significant step towards improving regional connectivity in the National Capital Region (NCR).The Prime Minister also dedicated the 82-kilometre Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor to the nation. Key sections inaugurated include:
- The 5 km stretch between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar (Delhi)
- The 21 km stretch between Meerut South and Modipuram (Uttar Pradesh)

Lutyens’ Statue at Rashtrapati Bhavan to be Replaced
In his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi announced that the statue of British architect Edwin Lutyens at Rashtrapati Bhavan will be replaced with that of C. Gautam Adani Reviews Rs 43,000 Crore Power Projects in Eastern India
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, reviewed major power projects in Jharkhand and Bihar.In Godda, Jharkhand, he inspected a 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant built with an investment of over Rs 16,000 crore. The plant supplies electricity exclusively to Bangladesh under a long-term agreement and has generated thousands of employment opportunities.
The group is also planning a 2,400 MW power project at Pirpainti near Bhagalpur, Bihar, involving an estimated investment of Rs 27,000 crore. The project is expected to meet rising industrial and urban energy demand in the state.
Amitabh Bachchan to Promote Skill India Digital Hub
Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been appointed as the face of the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) campaign.Launched by Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayant Chaudhary, the campaign titled “Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai” aims to accelerate India’s digital skilling movement.
SIDH serves as an integrated platform for skilling, employment and lifelong learning, enhancing career opportunities for youth across the country.
