SBI clerk recruitment notification issued for over 5000 posts: Salary, qualification and how to apply

The State Bank of India has issued a recruitment notification for over 5000 clerical jobs.

"Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre in State Bank of India," the job notification read.

As per the notification, candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only. Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project.


"The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT (mentioned in the under given vacancy table against eachstate/UT). The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process," SBI said.

"It will be conducted after qualifying the online main examination but before joining the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment."

However, candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.

Note that there is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates.

Exam Schedule:
According to SBI, preliminary examination for the same will be conducted tentatively in the month of November 2022 and main examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of December 2022/January 2023.

The preliminary examination consisting of objective tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections: English language (30 marks), Numerical ability (35 marks), and Reasoning Ability (35 marks).

The main exam consists of four tests: General/ Financial Awareness (50 marks, 35 minutes), English (40 marks, 35 min), Aptitude (50 marks, 45 min), Computer Aptitude (60 marks, 45 min). In total the main exam will be for two hour and 40 minutes.

Salary:
As per the notification, the pay scale will be Rs.17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The starting Basic Pay is Rs.19900/- (Rs.17900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).

How to Apply
Candidates can apply online and no other mode of application will be accepted. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.
