Sasikumar starrer 'Kaari': OTT release date, platform, and other details

"Kaari," a Tamil action-drama starring Sasikumar, will premiere on ZEE5 on December 23, the streaming service said Monday. The film, written and directed by Hemanth, is about the life of a horse jockey in Chennai and how fate pulls him to a little town in Tamil Nadu's Ramanad district.

Sethu, a horse jockey with a stable in Chennai, is played by Sasikumar. His life takes a change when his father - Vellasaamy (Narein) dies, following which his favourite horse is also murdered. The film, dubbed a rural action-drama, addresses issues such as pro-animal liberation, corporate greed, and the ethics of meat eating.

S Lakshman Kumar said in a statement, "With an ensemble of your favourite star cast, Kaari is filled with aspects of live-action Jallikattu, corporate greed, and our unending passion for animals."

Kaari is a tale that contains racy stunts, and action sequences that roller coaster through high emotions, anguish, love, betrayal, and sacrifice- 'Kaari' has it all. The movie, produced by S Lakshman Kumar, also has Parvathy Arun, JD Chakravarthy, Balaji Sakthivel, Aadukalam Naren, Ammu Abhirami, and Redin Kingsley in key parts.
