Sarabjit Kaur becomes ‘Sarabnoor’, invites Sikhs to Pakistan in video, intelligence flags possible ISI role

A woman from Punjab, Sarabjit Kaur, who reportedly slipped out of a Sikh Jatha in November last year and later married a Muslim man in Pakistan after converting to Islam, has released a new video from across the border inviting Sikhs to visit Pakistan.

In the latest video, she is seen standing near a highway and identifying herself as Sarabnoor. She invites Sikh devotees to visit Nankana Sahib and other gurudwaras in Pakistan.

She states in the video that doors are open for everyone and says that people from Indian Punjab are welcome on behalf of Pakistan.

Shift in tone draws attention

The video marks a noticeable change from her earlier remarks that were seen as objectionable against Sikhs, which had already drawn attention from Indian intelligence agencies.

Officials are now questioning the intent behind her latest statements due to the change in tone, reports TOI.

Intelligence agencies raise suspicion

Intelligence sources view the sudden shift from earlier critical remarks to the current conciliatory message with suspicion. They suggest that the contrasting positions may indicate an attempt to assess public reaction, as reported by TOI.

Officials also believe there is a possibility that she may be acting under the influence of Pakistan’s ISI to test sentiments among Sikhs.
