Why Is Badshah’s Tateeree Song Facing Criticism?
The controversy began soon after Tateeree was released on 1 March, with many listeners criticising the track for what they described as vulgar and double-meaning lyrics. Some lines from the song were accused of objectifying women and even minors.The situation escalated further after viewers pointed out that the music video featured girls dancing in school uniforms, which critics argued was inappropriate and insensitive towards women and children. The visuals were also criticised for allegedly hurting the cultural sentiments of people in Haryana.
Following the backlash, a complaint was reportedly filed at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Panchkula, Haryana, claiming that the lyrics and visuals could negatively influence young audiences.

In the middle of the ongoing debate, Santy Sharma took to Instagram to defend Badshah and offer his perspective on the situation.Sharing a photo of the rapper, Sharma wrote that rap music often includes references to rivals or cultural elements that may be misunderstood by audiences unfamiliar with the genre.
