'Sanatanis you abused are helping people in flood': Ex-Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria hits out at Tamil Nadu CM Stalin's son

Taking a dig at Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has said that the same Sanatanis are now helping the people during the floods whom Stalin abused a few weeks back. A few weeks ago, Udhayanidhi had made derogatory remarks about Sanatan Dharma, which ignited a controversy across the country. He is the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.

Kaneria was referring to Udhayanidhi's statement in a conference that Sanatan Dharma is like malaria and dengue which needs to be eradicated. Quoting Udhayanidhi's statement, Kaneria wrote on social media platform 'X' on Tuesday, "A few weeks ago, the son of Tamil Nadu CM was abusing Sanatan Dharma. Now that the state is in the grip of a cyclone, Sanatanis are helping the people". Kaneria also shared a video in which many people are seen distributing food in the flood-affected areas. The video mentions Sri Ramakrishna Math.



A few days ago, Kaneria had also taken a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his 'panauti' remarks for the prime minister Narendra Modi. Without taking any name Kaneria had asked who is Panauti now after the crushing defeat of Congress in three Hindi heartland states in recent Assembly elections. BJP registered a thumping victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh by defeating Congress in these states.

"Panauti Kaun (who's unlucky now)?" Kaneria posted on X (formerly Twitter). Kaneria's comment came about Gandhi's dig at a rally in Rajasthan, after India's loss to Australia in the World Cup final. Gandhi indirectly blamed PM Modi for India's loss in the final saying that the Men in Blue lost because the Indian Prime Minister was present at the venue in Ahmedabad on November 19.

During an election rally in state polls, Rahul had said that India would have won the World Cup final match against Australia if 'Panunti' hadn't visited the stadium.

"Our boys were playing well, they would have won the world cup. But we lost because of 'Panauti'. The TV guys won't tell you this but people know," Gandhi had said.
