Samsung Galaxy S26 launch update: Check latest leaks about release date, price, storage, camera

Samsung’s next flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, is expected to debut on February 25, with leaks now offering early clues on pricing, storage upgrades and market-wise differences. The upcoming Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra may bring more storage out of the box, but that change could also make some models costlier in key regions. While a few markets may see price hikes, others could get an unexpected surprise, especially with the top-end Ultra model.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Price update

According to multiple leaks, including a report by tipster Roland Quandt, Samsung is likely to tweak pricing by increasing base storage across the Galaxy S26 lineup. The strategy appears similar to Apple’s recent approach with the iPhone 17 series, where higher starting storage came with a higher entry price.

The standard Galaxy S26 is tipped to start with 256GB of storage, up from 128GB on the Galaxy S25. While this upgrade improves value on paper, it may also push prices higher in several regions.

Europe may see the sharpest jump

In parts of Europe, especially Sweden, leaked pricing suggests the Galaxy S26 could be around €200 more expensive than the Galaxy S25 base model. The higher default storage is seen as the main reason. Even the 512GB variant is expected to carry a higher price tag than last year.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus price

The Galaxy S26 Plus could be the most stable model in the lineup when it comes to pricing. Reports indicate that the 256GB version may launch at a price similar to the Galaxy S25 Plus with the same storage, avoiding the steep hikes seen elsewhere.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra price

The biggest twist may come from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. In some European markets, leaked prices suggest the base Ultra model could be about €100 cheaper than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 512GB variant is also expected to cost less, while the 1TB version may stick to last year’s pricing.

However, leaks also suggest Samsung may skip free storage upgrade offers during pre-orders this time.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Leaks

In South Korea, local reports point to a price increase of KRW 44,000 to KRW 88,000 across the Galaxy S26 series compared to the S25 lineup. While not dramatic, it would still mark a noticeable shift in Samsung’s home market.

In the US, early leaks hint at launch prices of around $800 for the Galaxy S26, $1,000 for the S26 Plus, and $1,300 for the S26 Ultra. These figures could be linked to introductory offers at launch.

India remains a big question mark. The Galaxy S25 series launched at Rs 80,999 for the base model, Rs 99,999 for the Plus, and Rs 1,29,999 for the Ultra. With higher storage and expected hardware upgrades, a modest price hike would not come as a shock.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera

Beyond prices, leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus may stick with familiar camera setups. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, could bring faster 60W wired charging, improved wireless charging and a larger battery, all packed into a slimmer body.
