Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to have triple camera setup instead of quad, claim reports
Samsung's upcoming top-dollar offering is expected to miss quad-camera setup, and instead offer a triple-camera setup, as per several reports circulating online.

According to a recent report by the popular tipster Ice Universe, the camera setup on the Galaxy S24 Ultra may be different next year. The tipster claims that South Korean consumer tech giant has combined the periscope telephoto and 3x telephoto sensors on the device.
Although Ice Universe did not provide any additional information, another report suggests that Samsung has replaced the 3x telephoto lens on the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a variable folding telephoto lens that offers a zoom range of 3x to 10x.
Moreover, on the same topic, SamMobile said that implementing this change on the S24 Ultra could provide superior results at all zoom levels between 4x and 9x, which is currently not achievable. Additionally, the report suggests that the 200MP primary sensor may also function as a 3x zoom lens.
Earlier in December last year, Ice Universe had claimed that Samsung would be implementing a new solution and replacing the sensor in their upcoming S-series smartphones. This statement aligns with the current rumours and speculations about the S24 series that have recently surfaced online, suggesting that Samsung may introduce significant upgrades to the camera technology in their next flagship smartphone.
