Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra likely to witness price hike

Samsung's flagship products will be more expensive this year compared to last year’s prices, according to a new report based on Australian pricing information.

In Australia, the price is hiked up by AUD 100 for every model and every variation of each model. AUD 100 currently translated into US $70 and €65.

Such direct changes from currency to currency and region to region rarely work, not to mention that the companies like to hike their prices in neat rounds of increase of 50 or, more commonly, 100. So this can also be a $100 and €100 hike in the US and Europe. While on the other hand, it could just be $50 and €50, that means there could be a price hike, not knowing its exact amount. The same kind of hike can occur in India too.


Meanwhile, Samsung is also rumoured to double the storage capacity of its entry-level model from 128GB to 256GB.


If you get a 256GB base model in some places and it's $100 or €100 more than last year's entry-level model, it might not technically be a price increase. 128GB might be enough for your use case, but you're just forced to buy the 256GB version.

The phone also features significantly improved audio capabilities, both on the recording and playback sides, with stereo speakers that provide deeper bass than is typical for phones. The new 200MP sensor's image stabilisation and improved Super QPD technology will reportedly make focus a non-issue, too, and Samsung actually showcases improved camera features in the S23 Unpacked Event teaser. The phone also offers significantly improved audio capabilities, both on the recording and playback sides. Stereo speakers provide deeper bass than regular phones.
