Samsung Galaxy M04: Launch date in India, price, specifications and all other details

Samsung will unveil a new entry-level 4G smartphone in India on December 9. Amazon has released a teaser for the Samsung Galaxy M04, revealing several critical pieces of information ahead of the official unveiling. The gadget will cost less than Rs 10,000 and would provide long-term software support.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 will be available in two colors: and green. According to the Amazon website, the phone will include a dual-camera on the back. The camera sensors are housed in two circular holes, which are flanked by an LED flash. The phone's camera specifications have not been revealed by the firm.

There is a water drop notch at the top of the display on the front. Except for the large chin, the bezels around the screen are rather narrow. On the right side, the frame is visible to hold the volume and power buttons. The phone does not appear to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This might imply that the Samsung Galaxy M04 will only enable AI Face Unlock together with pattern/pin-based authentication for phone unlocking.


The smartphone is also known to include up to 8GB of RAM, which is a mix of real and virtual RAM, dubbed RAM Plus by Samsung. Internal storage on the phone will be 128GB. It will also receive software updates for the next two years. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the Android version, the phone is expected to ship with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 core.

Finally, Samsung disclosed that the phone will cost less than 9,000 rupees in India. According to recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy M04's base model might cost 8,999 at launch. The phone is claimed to be a rebranded Samsung Galaxy A04e with a MediaTek Hello G35 SoC.
