Samantha turns down Allu Arjun’s huge offer in Pushpa 2 following the success of ‘Oo Antava’, say reports

According to a new report, Pushpa 2 director Sukumar has contacted Samantha Ruth Prabhu for yet another special song in the sequel. Samantha has supposedly declined the offer since she is not ready to undertake special numbers at this time in her career.

According to the source, the producers are “working hard” to persuade her while also aiming to bring in a major star for this unique song. Sukumar is also said to have invented a fictional character for Samantha and linked it to the plot in Pushpa 2.

It was previously stated that Pushpa’s lead actor Allu Arjun personally persuaded Samantha to feature in Oo Antava. She is said to have demanded Rs 5 crore for the three-minute song. She remarked during a media interview at the Critics Choice Awards last year that she was overwhelmed by the feedback she received for Oo Antava.

Samantha said “I cannot explain the kind of love people are showering on me. I did not expect ‘Oo Antava’ to be such a hit pan-India”. The ‘Rangasthalam’ actress added, “Not just Telugu audiences, people around the country have forgotten the other movies I have done, but recognise me for ‘Oo Antava’ now”.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming projects include ‘Shaakuntalam’, ‘Kushi’, and ‘Citadel’.
