Samantha Ruth Prabhu looks to Ayurveda to cure autoimmune condition myositis

Tollywood actress Samantha had recently opened up about her being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition known as myositis. She has been undergoing immunity-boosting therapy in Hyderabad to tackle the condition.

After much speculation about her health, Samantha finally opened up about being diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease last month. During her treatment over the month, several rumored health reports have surfaced online claiming that she has been admitted to the hospital. However, her team has denied these reports and claimed the rumors to be fake.

The latest of these reports has claimed that she was opting for Ayurveda to tackle the rare autoimmune condition. However, her team is yet to confirm this news as legitimate.


According to the report, Samantha is currently in Hyderabad undergoing immunity-boosting therapy. She switched over to the traditional Ayurvedic route to get a better chance at fighting her condition.

Last month, she opened up about her Myositis and said that she was going to disclose the condition after it had gone into remission. However, the treatment is taking longer than she expected, and she felt it is no longer necessary to hide the condition and put up a strong front. She further talked about her struggles with accepting vulnerability and told the doctors gave her hope that she would make a complete recovery very soon.
