Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan lives with husband Aayush Sharma in luxurious Mumbai home featuring movable wall, sea-facing balcony, Aayush’s “private” room, oversized elevator, Scandinavian-inspired interiors, white and blue-toned living spaces, party-ready layout

Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan may be known for his lavish lifestyle, but his sister Arpita Khan and her husband, actor Aayush Sharma, are no strangers to luxury either. The couple, who married in 2014, live in a sprawling sea-facing apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra with their children, son Ahil and daughter Ayat.

The couple’s luxurious home recently drew attention after filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan gave fans a tour of the residence on her YouTube channel. From its expansive living spaces and panoramic sea views to its Scandinavian-inspired interiors and clever design features, the apartment offers a glimpse into the family’s lifestyle.

A grand lobby sets the tone

The apartment opens into a spacious entrance lobby that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the home. The interiors follow a Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic, with clean lines, muted tones and an understated sense of luxury.

During the tour, Farah Khan spotted a painting of Ayatul Kursi and was told by Aayush that it was painted by his brother-in-law, Salman Khan. The artwork adds a personal touch to the otherwise contemporary interiors.

Soft tones and sweeping views

The living and dining areas are among the most striking spaces in the apartment. Large, open rooms feature comfortable seating in white and blue tones, creating a relaxed setting for family time and entertaining guests.

But the balcony is perhaps the biggest highlight. Overlooking Mumbai’s skyline and the Arabian Sea, the spacious outdoor area features plants and stylish furniture, making it suitable for everything from quiet evenings to family gatherings.

Aayush jokingly referred to the view as “Mumbai ka Dubai”, while Farah, taking in the expansive vista, declared, “This is better than Dubai!”

Farah Khan’s hilarious reactions

Farah’s trademark humour was on full display throughout the tour. At one point, she joked that the elevator in the apartment building was bigger than her bathroom.

Her reaction to the enormous living room was even more dramatic. “Is this a cricket field? Oh my God, this is gorgeous!” she exclaimed.

Aayush responded with a joke of his own, saying Arpita “has a habit of making big houses, but using just three corners.”

Aayush’s private space gets ‘taken over’

The bedrooms also became a source of jokes during the tour. While showing Farah around, Aayush pointed out Arpita and Ahil’s room before showing his own private space.

“This is my hidden room and this is my private area, where I relax. But now, Arpita has decided to use this couch, taking away my privacy,” he said.

The playful complaint offered a glimpse into the couple’s everyday family dynamics amid the grandeur of their home.

A moving wall doubles up as a smart partition

One of the apartment’s most interesting design features is a movable wall in the common area. The partition can be opened to create a larger space when the family is entertaining or closed to separate parts of the house.

Arpita explained that the feature also helps keep the children away from parties when guests are over.

Aayush, however, had a more humorous take on it. He joked that the movable wall becomes a barrier when Arpita is upset with him.

“Whenever Arpita is upset with me, she doesn’t slam any door, but blocks the house with this moving wall,” he said.

Farah immediately turned the joke into another punchline, asking how often Aayush gives Arpita a reason to be upset.

Throughout the tour, Farah’s witty commentary and Aayush’s jokes added a light-hearted touch to the glimpse inside the couple’s lavish Bandra residence.

Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma's life

Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma tied the knot in a grand ceremony in November 2014 after dating for some time. Arpita is the sister of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and daughter of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan.

The couple welcomed their son, Ahil, in March 2016, followed by their daughter Ayat in December 2019. Interestingly, Ayat shares her birthday with her uncle Salman Khan, with both born on December 27.

On the work front, Aayush made his Bollywood debut with Loveyatri in 2018, opposite Warina Hussain. He later starred alongside Salman Khan in Antim: The Final Truth.
