Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar had been close to each other for many years. On Friday night, the Bollywood superstars exchanged emotional words and praised each other.

The story began after Salman Khan came across an old video of Akshay Kumar where he was seen crying and very emotional. This video was taken when Akshay Kumar was talking about “Alka,” his sister, while he came to promote his film on a reality show.

Salman Khan shared the video on his Instagram story and wrote, “I just watched something truly amazing which I had to share with everyone. May god bless Akki; it feels so good to see you like this. Be fit, keep up the good work, god will always be with you my brother.”

In reply, Akshay Kumar also re-shared the Dabang superstar's story on his Instagram account. He wrote, “I am touched after seeing your message, Salman. God bless you, keep shining.”

The video dates back to a few months ago when Akshay was promoting Raksha Bandhan and went to the sets of Super Star Singer 2. On the show, he received a voice message recorded for him by his sister Alka. In the audio, she said, “You are the person who has stood by me forever. You have given me the love of a father, a friend, and a brother, I thank you for everything you did for me.”

Salman and Akshay had share screen space in the 2004 hit 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' and later in 'Jaaneman'.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in 'OMG Oh My God 2' next year and will begin shooting for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' with Tiger Shroff early next year.
