'Ruhani Didi': Gurmeet Ram Rahim changes Honeypreet's name

Honeypreet has a new name: Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the head of Dera Sacha Sauda, who is on 40-day parole, has renamed his adopted daughter Honeypreet. Honeypreet will now be known as 'Ruhani Didi, 'according to the self-styled godman, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in a rape case. Ram Rahim further stated that Honeypreet will continue to fulfill her duties in the Dera, and wished her "more happiness."

Ram Rahim made the announcement in front of the Saad Sangat, which is being hosted in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. During his parole, Ram Rahim has been residing at the Barwana Ashram.

He further stated that his daughter serves mankind by conducting various charitable activities. She listens to her Papa and her Guru (Ram Rahim) before saying anything she has to say, but she never speaks on her own, he added.


Honeypreet came into the limelight after Ram Rahim was arrested in the rape case. She has also been given a new moniker, Ruh-Di or Ruhani Didi .

In August 2017, a special CBI court in Panchkula convicted Gurmeet Ram Rahim of raping two female devotees.
