How much does a Maggi seller earn during the off-season?
Sharing details of their conversation in the video, Chauhan said, “I asked him, “How much do you earn?" He (Maggi seller) said, “It is the off-season, so there is not much earning during this time." So I asked him, “Tell me, how much do you earn during the off-season?"The vendor then revealed his approximate daily sales. He reportedly sells around 60-70 plates of Maggi and nearly 200 cups of tea every day. Apart from these, he also receives a few orders for eggs, although their demand is much lower than that for Maggi and tea.
Maggi seller's estimated daily turnover
Chauhan also shared a breakdown of the seller's estimated daily earnings in the caption of his Instagram video. According to the content creator, a plate of Maggi costs Rs 100, while a cup of tea is priced at Rs 40.Explaining the calculation, he wrote, “We went to Rohtang Pass and asked a Maggi seller about his turnover during the off-season! He said they sell around: 60–70 plates of Maggi — Rs 100/plate. Around 200 cups of tea — Rs 40/cup. That means even in the off-season, the estimated daily sales come to around Rs 14,000–Rs 15,000 per day!"
However, the amount represents the vendor's estimated daily turnover and should not be confused with his actual profit, as expenses such as ingredients, transportation and other operating costs have not been accounted for.
