Rs 10 tea and Rs 20 coffee at Mumbai Airport? Now you can enjoy street prices at the new Udaan Café
Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport now offers affordable refreshments with the launch of the first Udaan Yatri Café. E-inaugurated by the Union Civil Aviation Minister, this initiative brings down the cost of tea to just ₹1...

The facility was e-inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, marking Mumbai’s participation in a nationwide initiative focused on making airport amenities more inclusive and affordable for all passengers.
A Shift from Premium Pricing to Accessibility
Unlike most airport food outlets known for premium pricing, the Udaan Yatri Café operates on a completely different philosophy. Located in the Terminal 2 (T2) check-in area — between Gates 1 and 2 at Departures — the café aims to provide everyday affordability within an international terminal setting.
The menu resembles that of a neighbourhood tea stall rather than a high-end airport café:
- Tea & Bottled Water: ₹10
- Coffee, Snacks, & Desserts: ₹20
The Vision Behind ‘Udaan’
The “Udaan” branding is inspired by the government’s mission to make air travel accessible to the common citizen. The café is positioned as a strategic addition to the airport’s food and beverage portfolio, ensuring that budget-conscious travellers have viable options alongside premium international brands. However, affordability does not come at the expense of standards. The initiative underscores quality and hygiene, ensuring that passengers opting for low-cost refreshments still receive safe and well-maintained service.
As of February 20, the café is fully functional and serving travellers at CSMIA. While luxury outlets and international coffee chains will continue catering to premium customers, the Udaan Yatri Café provides an alternative that is significantly lighter on the wallet.
