The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued the exam city intimation slip for the Ministerial and Isolated Category recruitment under Central Employment Notice (CEN) 08/2025. Candidates who registered for this recruitment can now check their assigned examination city on the official application portal. The slip was made available on July 4, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 311 vacancies for various Ministerial and Isolated Category positions within Indian Railways. The written examination is scheduled for July 14 and 15, 2026. Previously, the application status was released on May 11, 2026, allowing applicants to confirm if their applications were accepted or rejected.

The recruitment process began with the indicative notification for CEN 08/2025 on December 17, 2025. Online registrations opened on December 30, 2025, and closed on January 29, 2026. After reviewing applications, the application status was published before the release of the exam city intimation slip.


Candidates can download the city intimation slip from the official recruitment portal. This document provides the location of the examination city before the computer-based examination takes place.

The recruitment covers seven different posts. These include 202 vacancies for Junior Translator (Hindi), 39 for Lab Assistant Grade III, 24 for Staff and Welfare Inspector, 22 for Chief Law Assistant, 15 for Senior Publicity Inspector, seven for Public Prosecutor, and two for Scientific Assistant (Training).

Educational requirements vary by post. Qualifications range from Class 12 with Physics and Chemistry to diplomas, graduate, postgraduate, and professional degrees like LLB and MBA, with specific work experience required for some roles. The age limit is set between 18 and 33 years, with January 1, 2026, as the cut-off date for age determination. Age relaxation will be applied as per recruitment rules.

The selection process involves Computer Based Test (CBT)-I, followed by CBT-II. Depending on the post, candidates may also need to undergo a skill test. Those who qualify in these stages will proceed to document verification and a medical examination to complete the recruitment.

Applicants taking the examination can find their allotted exam city by logging in with their credentials on the official RRB application portal. They are advised to review the details on the intimation slip before the exam.
