Rohit Sharma seeks explanation from Rishabh Pant for poor shot selection in dressing room. Video goes viral

In a close match, India lost the second encounter against arch-rival Pakistan in Asia Cup. Batting first, India started well with a good opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. But in the middle overs, Indian middle order batsman, except Virat Kohli, failed to capitalise the good start and players including Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda got out cheaply.

Unhappy with the batting performance, a video of India captain Rohit Sharma has gone viral in which he can be seen having an animated discussion with wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant in the dressing room. Pant was picked ahead of in-form Dinesh Karthik for the crucial game against Pakistan but unfortunately, he could not make the most out of the golden chance. Pant managed to score just 14 runs off 12 balls before throwing his wicket away to a reverse sweep.

As soon as he returned to the dressing room, unhappy Rohit Sharma was seen seeking an explanation from Pant for his poor dismissal. The video has gone viral on social media.



Rohit also touched upon the issue in the post-match press conference. "Wickets of Hardik and Rishabh were not needed at that time,” he said in the press conference.
