Roblox, the popular online gaming platform experienced a massive outage on late Thursday night, according to multiple reports. Gamers were reporting issues with the popular online game late on Thursday, December. 18, according to DownDetector.com. Around 11:30 p.m., over 16,000 users were experiences issues, with nearly 50% saying they had trouble accessing the website. Users were getting error message when clicking on Roblox.com. Roblox has nearly 83 million daily active users. Roblox is a game-creation platform that allows you to design your own games and play a wide variety of games created by other users.

Due to the widespread Roblox outage, thousands of users were unable to log in or play. Error code 9007 popped up everywhere, blocking folks from jumping into matches or even loading the site. Users took to social media to report login failures, slow loading times, and disconnections during gameplay.

According to DownDetector, the user complaints saw a sharp spike with thousands of players reported issues across login, gameplay and server connectivity. As per the DownDetetcor data, 54% users reported issues with the website, 33% users faced server connection error and 13% had game play issues.

Why is Roblox down?

According to multiple outage tracking websites, many gamers were repeatedly met with the error code 9007. The error prevented the gamers from accessing games or joining servers. It appears that the Roblox outage affected thousands of users around the world and it majorly impacted the North America, Europe and Asia regions.

As of now, the reason why Roblox is facing outage is yet to be known. Roblox has yet to release an official statement explaining the cause of the outage. While the company typically shares updates through its status page and social media channels, it has so far offered no detailed clarification. In the past, disruptions have been attributed to server overloads and backend infrastructure problems, but it is still unclear whether the current outage stems from similar issues.

The Roblox outage triggered a flood of reactions across social media platforms, with players voicing frustration over being unable to access the game. Several users reported being disconnected mid-game, while others said the platform failed to load altogether.











“Roblox is down. Don't join any experience or game for now or you'll lose your data in experiences,” one user warned. Another speculated, “I’m probably wrong, but what if Roblox is down because some community systems were tied to Guilded, and since they just shut down Guilded, it took down the whole website.”
