Rishabh Pant Accident: Vehicle crashed on the Delhi-Dehradun route, shows CCTV

On the highway between Delhi and Roorkee, cricketer Rishabh Pant's vehicle crashed, as seen on CCTV. In the video, Pant's automobile is seen slamming into the rails of the barrier at a high rate of speed. In the early-Friday mishap, Team India's wicket keeper sustained serious injuries.

For the New Year's celebrations with his family and friends, Pant was travelling from Delhi to his residence in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.

Pant seems to have fallen asleep at the wheel and lost control of his vehicle, which led to the collision, according to the police. To get out of the burning automobile, the 25-year-old smashed the glass, breaking it on the windscreen.


Rishabh Pant was returning from Delhi to Uttarakhand when he was seriously injured. He was driving a Mercedes when his car crashed into the barrier and caught fire near Mohammadpur Jhal, close to the Narsan border of Roorkee on the Delhi-Dehradun route.

Pant is now stable and under the monitoring of orthopaedic and plastic specialists, according to an initial statement released by the Max Hospital in Dehradun, where Pant is being treated.

The Indian cricketer was a member of the starting lineup for the team's final match against Bangladesh during the second Test. Pant was instrumental in the team's comeback in the game, making a crucial 93 to help India win by three wickets. The team had a 2-0 series victory.

After being rested for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka in January, Pant was expected to begin a strength and conditioning programme at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
