As every year the nation’s military power, culture and diversity will be on full show at the Republic Day celebrations but this time the seating arrangements have been slightly different with only 45,000 seats left, after the renovation of Rajpath, which is now known as Kartavya Path.

This year Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi will be the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations held in New Delhi. The formal invitation to this was sent to the Egyptian presidency on October 16, 2022 by the External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
