Renowned Tamil director Mani Nagaraj dies due to cardiac arrest

According to reports, Nagaraj suffered a massive cardiac arrest on 26 August and took his last breath. His sudden demise has left friends and family in a state of shock and sadness.

The famous Tamil director Mani Nagaraj, 45, has died due to cardiac arrest on Thursday. Mani Nagaraj was recognized for his work Pencil and was waiting for the release of his another movie.

According to reports, Nagaraj suffered a massive cardiac arrest on 26 August and took his last breath. His sudden demise has left friends and family in a state of shock and sadness. Many friends took to Twitter to show their condolences over the sudden death of the Tamil director.

Mani Nagaraj was waiting for the release of his upcoming movie, Vasuvin Garbinigal. The movie was produced by Xavier Britto. Vasuvin Garbinigal is the Tamil remake of the famous Malayalam movie Zachariayude Garbhinikal.


Mani Nagaraj's Directing Career
Mani Nagaraj started his journey with the movie Pencil.

Mani Nagaraj made his debut as director in 2016. His first movie was GV Prakash's Pencil.

Before making his directing debut, Mani Nagaraj was an associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon.

He was a native of Madurai and studied at the Film institute in Tamil Nadu. Mani Nagaraj was widely appreciated for his debut movie Pencil and was later on approached for the Tamil remake of Vasuvin Garbhinikal.

Kayal Devaraj went on social media to announce the death of Mani Nagaraj. Kayal wrote with a heavy heart that he regrets informing everyone that Mani Nagaraj passed away this morning due to Cardiac arrest. He prayed for Mani Nagaraj to rest in peace and that his thoughts would always be with the bereaved family and close ones.

Hearing the news of Mani Nagaraj's sudden demise, many celebrities paid tribute on Twitter and wrote their condolences.

Editor TS Suresh wrote how shocked and saddened he is after knowing the passing of Manu Nagaraj. He wrote how the former associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon taught him the basics of post-production. Suresh said that Mani Nagaraj was a great teacher and a good friend who has gone too soon. TS Suresh ended the tweet by saying that Mani Nagaraj will be missed.

Actor G V Prakash tweeted his condolences by saying it is hard to believe that his beloved friend and director Mani Nagaraj is no more. He offered his condolences to the grieving family and friends.
