Xiaomi has officially confirmed the Redmi Note 12 Pro series' release date. The company has officially announced the devices and even hinted at one of their key specifications. So, let us have a look.

Redmi has released a teaser for the upcoming series ahead of its introduction. The firm has branded the Redmi Note 12 5G series 'Supernote.' Redmi India just announced on Twitter that the Redmi 12 Pro+ will have the highest-ever resolution on a smartphone camera. "The SuperNote's 200MP camera is the only camera you'll ever need," the business claimed in its tweet. The brand also shared a link to its official website, where interested purchasers might be notified.

In terms of the phone itself, the Note 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary camera, with both the Pro and Pro+ variants having an extra 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor on the back. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC is believed to power the basic Note 12, while the Dimensity 1080 SoC will power the Pro and Pro+ models.

While three new Redmi Note phones are expected in India in January, Xiaomi has stated that they will not be releasing as many Note-series phones this time around. The Redmi Note 10 and Note 11 series each have at least six models. In India, for example, the Redmi Note 11 range now includes the Note 11, Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+, Note 11T, Note 11 SE, and Note 11S.

During the launch event on January 5th, Xiaomi will reveal the Redmi Note 12 series pricing in India. Having said that, it is estimated that the initial price to be approximately Rs 23,000, based on their China rates.

While the company hasn't provided any more details about the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus India variant, we expect it to have the same features as the Chinese model.
