Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched a new smartphone, the Redmi 12C is a budget-friendly smartphone. The mobile is the successor to the Redmi 10C smartphone, which was launched last March. The price, specifications, launch date, and other details of the recently released C-series Redmi smartphone are listed below.


According to a source, the Redmi 12C will be available worldwide on February 26.

The Redmi 12C starts at CNY 699 (approximately Rs 8,400) for the base model with 4GB+64GB storage. Storage options for the smartphone include 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB. The base variant of the Redmi 12C is expected to cost EUR 170 (roughly Rs. 15,000), while the higher variant is anticipated to cost EUR 200. (approximately Rs. 17,630). The phone is available in three colours: Sea Blue, Mint Green, Lavender, and Shadow Black.

The device is expected to run Android 12 with the MIUI 13 skin on top. The source also mentioned that the global Redmi 12C will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It could have a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support out of the box. The Redmi 12C, which was released in China, has a 6.71-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1650 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. According to reports, the global variant of the smartphone will receive two major Android updates as well as up to three years of security patches.


The Redmi 12C Chinese version has a dual camera system with a 50-megapixel sensor at its centre for optics and it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Dual SIM, a micro-SD Card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC are all supported for connectivity.
