Police suspect the victim may have been killed at the property before her remains were placed in the suitcase. Investigators also found that the body was allegedly suspended from the ceiling, while some remains were kept inside a large vessel commonly used for cooking biryani.

CCTV traces suitcase to Chennai
The red suitcase was found on August 6 inside the general compartment of a train at Agra Cantt railway station after railway officials received information about a suspicious bag with something apparently protruding from it.Human remains in a decomposed condition were subsequently recovered.
Investigators later reviewed extensive CCTV footage and traced the movements of a man and a woman seen carrying the same suitcase into Chennai Central railway station. Police said the pair then left the luggage on the Tamil Nadu Express heading towards Agra.
The investigation subsequently led authorities to the rented property in the Guduvanchery area of Chennai.
The cooking vessel recovered from the premises has been secured as evidence, while police are examining the house for further clues.
‘Chennai’ marking found inside suitcase
A plastic bag carrying the word “Chennai” was also found inside the suitcase, providing investigators with another possible connection to the city.Police are examining surveillance footage from Chennai Central and other locations, railway travel records and technical evidence to reconstruct the couple’s movements and establish when and where the luggage was put aboard the Tamil Nadu Express.
Investigators are also checking missing-person records and other databases in an effort to determine the identity of the deceased woman.

The woman's remains have been sent for a post-mortem examination, which is expected to provide more information about the cause and manner of her death.Police have not yet officially established the identities or whereabouts of the man and woman seen with the suitcase. The motive behind the alleged killing also remains unknown.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death have not been confirmed by police, and the investigation is continuing.
