Raveena Tandon opens up about broken engagement with Akshay Kumar, says "Forgotten about it"

Actress Raveena Tandon opened up about her brief engagement to Akshay Kumar. They appeared together in the film Mohra, later breaking up their engagement. When asked about it, Raveena claimed her name has stayed linked to the ‘broken engagement’, and she doesn't get why people can not move on. She also addressed rumours that Akshay went on to date women who resembled Raveena out of animosity.

Raveena and Akshay Kumar began dating in 1995. She claims that they got engaged in the late 1990s. They afterwards split ways. In a recent chat, Raveena was recently asked about her engagement to Akshay Kumar she said that it still comes up every time her name is searched on Google.

She said in a podcast “It comes up, and it comes up like there's a war between everyone he is involved with, Hello, once I moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so where will jealousy come from”?


Raveena said she forgot when she got engaged to Akshay because she did not want to read anything that was being written at the time. She also talked about the rumours that, after they broke up, Akshay dated women who looked like her. She told him that she had not read anything about that.

Akshay Kumar began dating his ‘International Khiladi’ co-star Twinkle Khanna after he broke up with Raveena. In 2001, they got married, and now they have two kids, Aarav and Nitara. Raveena married Anil Thadani, who was in business. They were happy to see both their daughter Rasha Thadani and their son Ranbirvardhan Thadani.
