Rashi Bagga rewrites history: Lands Rs 85 lakh job offer, proving excellence beyond IIT and IIM

Rashi Bagga, a BTech student at the International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR), has achieved an outstanding milestone by securing a job offer worth an astonishing Rs 85 lakh per annum this year. This remarkable achievement not only establishes her as an exceptional talent but also marks the highest salary package ever awarded to a student of IIIT-NR in 2023.

Despite having a promising job offer from another company, Bagga's determination and ambition led her to explore further opportunities in the job market. She persevered through multiple interviews and, in the end, clinched this remarkable offer. A spokesperson from IIIT shared, "Rashi Bagga's unwavering commitment to her goals and her impressive performance during interviews have led to this record-breaking achievement."

Before this monumental success, Bagga had gained valuable experience as an SDE Intern at Intuit in Bengaluru and as a Software Developer Intern at Amazon. Since July 2023, she has been applying her skills at Atlassian as a Product Security Engineer.


This achievement is not isolated, as IIIT-NR has a history of nurturing exceptional talent. Chinky Karda, a fellow IIIT-NR student, held the previous record by securing a package of Rs 57 lakh per annum from the same company in the previous year. Similarly, Yogesh Kumar achieved a commendable package of Rs 56 lakh per annum for a software development role with a multinational company.

In 2020, Ravi Kushashwa, another student from IIIT-NR, was offered an astounding deal of Rs 1 crore per annum from a large multinational company. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he was unable to accept the offer.

For the fifth consecutive year, IIIT-NR has maintained a remarkable 100 percent placement rate, underscoring its commitment to students' career prospects. With Rashi Bagga's extraordinary placement, the institute's average Cost To Company (CTC) for this year's batch has been revised to Rs 16.5 lakh per annum, with a median CTC of Rs 13.6 lakh per annum.
