Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Tu Jhooti Main Makkar' enters Rs 100-crore club

"Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar", starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, has successfully made a collection of more than Rs 100 crores at the domestic box office. The movie has surpassed Rs 100 crore net and has reached this accomplishment in just 11 days since its premiere. The movie has been helmed by Luv Ranjan and has been praised for its subtle, lighthearted comedy.

The film depicts the trending dating patterns of the current generation in a comic way. Joginder Tuteja, a film industry analyst, tweeted on Sunday, "Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar has joined the 100 Crore Club."

The Luv Ranjan-produced rom-com, "Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar", features a fresh Bollywood pair in the lead. Also, this film marks Shraddha and Ranbir Kapoor's 6th film to surpass a Rs.100 crore collection, besides, Ek Villain, ABCD 2, Stree, Saaho, and Chhichhore; Brahmastra, Sanju, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Barfi respectively.




"Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar", produced by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar also stars Boney Kapoor, stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi, and Dimple Kapadia in supporting roles. Moreover, the film has earned over 122 crore at the box office globally.

The movie was released on Wednesday, 8 March on the occasion of Holi, and had an extended opening weekend in theatres. After impressing the audience for 11 days, the movie will now compete with four brand-new movies that were released this week: Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, Zwigato, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, and Kabzaa.
