Ramayana at Noida Pub DJ: Police arrest pub owner and manager after video goes viral

Noida Police have arrested the owner and manager of a pub in Gardens Galleria mall for playing a song with visuals of Ramanand Sagar's 1987 popular television show 'Ramayana'. The video and images of the song went viral on the social media. Reportedly, a clip was played on-screen by the DJ, which was a spoof of 'Scene Kya Hai - Ravan mashup feat. Nucleya and Divine'.

In the viral videos, people can be seen dancing on the pub floor as the clips of Ram and Ravan being projected in the background.



As per reports, the Noida police have arrested Lord of the Drinks owner Manak Agrawal and manager Abhishek Soni in connection to the incident. The two have been charged with promoting enmity and outraging religious feelings between different groups. The police are also trying to trace the DJ who is reportedly in Chennai for a show.

As the video went viral, many social media user commented on the issue.

"I watched the same video being played at concerts in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi across multiple venues," a user said on Twitter

"This track is from Nucleya, it has already played on Zomaland in front of 50,000 strong crowd at least, available on YouTube also," said another user.
