Akshay Kumar starrer film Ram Setu had a decent start at the box office, after which the film witnessed a plunge on the third day of its release.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the film earned Rs 26.65 crore in its first two days but then saw a drop of 30% in its collection. As per estimates, Ram Setu's box office collection on Day 3 was between Rs 7.60 to Rs 8.20 crore.

The film still has a shot at success if it could earn more than Rs 60 crore by the end of the weekend. But if it fails to pass the Friday test, earning the coveted box office collection of Rs 100 crore mark would seem difficult.

After the three films Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu is the fourth theatrical release of Akshay Kumar this year. With previous films Aksay released this year making no significant impact on the box office, Ram Setu seems to be his most successful release of 2022.

Ram Setu is competing against the Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer film Thank God.

The Abhishek Sharma-directed film Ram Setu is based on a story of a scientific mission to prove the presence of the Ram Setu. The film also stars Satya Dev, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nasser, and Pravesh Rana.
