Rajvir Jawanda Death Reason: How the accident happened that led to Punjabi singer’s death after 11 days in hospital

Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away while receiving treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after fighting for his life for nearly 11–12 days.

Details of the Accident

Earlier reports stated that the tragic accident took place on September 27, when 35-year-old Jawanda was riding his bike towards Shimla. He reportedly lost control in Baddi, Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, resulting in a major crash that caused severe head and spinal injuries, leaving him in critical condition.

He was initially taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, where he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. After stabilisation, he was transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali for advanced care. There, he was placed on a ventilator and life support, under close monitoring by a team of critical care and neurology specialists.


Despite continuous medical efforts and days of observation, Rajvir’s condition showed minimal improvement. On Wednesday, after nearly two weeks in intensive care, the singer passed away, leaving his family, fans, and the Punjabi entertainment industry devastated.

The singer, famous for hits like Surname, Kangani, Kamla, and Sardaari, passed away at 35 on October 8, 2025, while receiving treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
