Due to the weather situation, school holidays have been declared in 11 districts for Monday and Tuesday. These include:
Jhalawar, Kota, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Bhilwara, Baran, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Salumber, Banswara, and Ajmer.
Which Areas Got the Heaviest Rain?
The Jaipur Meteorological Centre reported that the highest rainfall in East Rajasthan was:- 242 mm in Ramganj Mandi (Kota)
- 235 mm in Jaitura (Bhilwara)
- In West Rajasthan, Bali in Pali district recorded 88 mm rainfall.
Bhilwara Faces Flood-Like Situation
Bhilwara’s Bijolia area has been witnessing torrential rain for over 15 hours. A video showed a 25-seater boat rowing down a flooded road. Civil defence teams are on the ground, carrying out rescue operations.Water has risen up to 5 feet on the Eru river bridge in Bhilwara. To manage water levels:
- 12 gates of the Kota Barrage were opened on Monday
- 6 gates of the Rana Pratap Sagar Dam in Chittorgarh were opened Sunday night
