A young tennis player, Radhika Tadav, was shot dead on Wednesday evening in Sector 57 of Gurugram, news agency ANI reported Thursday. According to the police, the bullets were fired from her father's licensed revolver.

The father, Deepak (49), has been arrested in connection with the murder. The police confirmed that he has confessed to the crime

Gurugram Police Public Relations Officer Sandeep Kumar confirmed the development. “Gurugram Police has arrested the accused father, and a case is being registered,” Kumar said.


Investigation has revealed that three bullets were fired at Radhika, 25, leading to her death on the spot. Police officials said the revolver used in the incident was legally owned by the accused.

The motive behind the shooting is being said that she ran a tennis academy, and her father was against it.
