Radhika Apte's fitness secrets
Her morning starts with coriander and cumin water
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama on January 17, 2023, Apte revealed that she had recently changed the way she started her mornings. Instead of reaching straight for coffee, she said she was beginning her day with water infused with coriander seeds and a little cumin.Read more - Julia Roberts' hobby has a parenting lesson: 5 meaningful takeaways from 'Pretty Woman' that parents can teach their children
She then followed it with fresh cucumber and celery juice, adding a little mint and lemon. Only after that did her beloved black coffee make an appearance.
It sounds like a fairly elaborate morning routine, but Apte has been clear that black coffee remains a big part of her day.
Black coffee is her daily favourite
Apte described herself as a “huge black coffee addict” and revealed that she had started adding cardamom to her coffee. She also mentioned that she had heard cardamom could help reduce acidity.Read more - Akshay Kumar's 'Bhooth Bangla' co-star Mithila Palkar is living in a cosy 700-sq-ft Mumbai home where her grandmother's antique utensils & childhood memories take centre stage
Rather than presenting this as a strict health ritual, Apte’s comments show a much more relaxed relationship with her morning cuppa. Coffee is something she genuinely enjoys, and she has simply found a way to make her usual drink a little different.
She does not usually follow a strict diet
If you imagine celebrities constantly counting calories and following complicated meal plans, Apte’s answer might come as a surprise. When asked about her diet during the Bollywood Hungama interview, she said she had never followed one regularly. At the time, however, she had started following a diet for a film role and joked that she had been doing it for only three days. Her response offered a glimpse into her fairly straightforward approach to food rather than suggesting that she follows a permanent restrictive eating plan.
Sleep is important, but it is not always easy
Apte also spoke openly about her sleeping habits. She said that on good days she could sleep for around nine to 10 hours, while on difficult days she might get only three or four hours. She linked this variation to her battle with anxiety and joked that, without it, she would happily sleep for 12 hours. Her comments are a reminder that even celebrities can have unpredictable sleep schedules and that rest does not always come easily.
She is a serious food lover
One thing Apte certainly does not hide is her love for food. When asked about her favourite cuisine, she named Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Indian food, while also saying she enjoyed some British dishes, including roast meals.“I love food. I adore food!” she said, making it pretty clear that her idea of wellness does not involve giving up everything she enjoys.
There is a special homemade treat in her fridge
Apte also revealed one of the staples she likes to keep at home, her mother’s flaxseed chutney. She spoke fondly about the chutney and also mentioned that her mother makes laddus for her.In fact, she said she had some laddus in her bag during the interview and was constantly eating them. It is a wonderfully relatable detail in an otherwise very celebrity-style wellness conversation.
Radhika Apte’s approach is more about balance than rules
From cucumber and celery juice to black coffee, homemade chutney, laddus and plenty of food she loves, Apte’s comments paint a picture of someone who does not seem interested in making wellness unnecessarily complicated. Her routine has changed depending on her circumstances, including when she needed to prepare for a film role. And while she has shared what works for her, these habits are personal choices rather than a one-size-fits-all fitness or diet prescription.
On the work front, Apte was last seen in Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders.
