R Madhavan celebrates son Vedaant winning 7 medals in Khelo India Youth Games 2023

R Madhavan is ecstatic with his son Vedaant Madhavan and Maharashtra's victory in the Khelo India 2023 event.

Kudos to R Madhavan's son Vedaant Madhavan, who earned seven gold in the Khelo India Youth Games 2023. At the competition, Vedaant earned five gold medals and two silver medals. Madhavan took to Twitter to post photos of his son beaming with his honours and to rejoice over the momentous milestone with his admirers.



The actor also lauded the Maharashtra team for placing first on the points table during the championship. The crew received 161 medals. They bagged a total of 56 gold medals, 55 silver medals, and 50 bronze medals.




R Madhavan has been the biggest fan of his son Vedaant. The actor has frequently expressed his pride in his son. Madhavan and his wife moved to Dubai in 2021 to assist their son Vedaant in his Olympic preparations. Vedaant made headlines a couple of times last year for his victories, including a gold medal in the Danish Open.

Khelo India Youth Games 2023 began on January 30 in Madhya Pradesh, with eight towns hosting events: Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Balaghat, Mandla, Jabalpur, and Gwalior. This was the 5th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games.

The 2019 Khelo India Youth Games team included 1,096 support staff, 893 technical officials, 36 chef-de-missions, 1010 volunteers and 1,500 officials, who came together to successfully conduct the sporting event.

The Khelo India Youth Games began in 2018 as the Khelo India School Games. The goal of these games is to identify and develop local sporting potential, as well as to prepare them for national and international competitions.

Around 6000 athletes from throughout the country competed for more than 900 medals in these games' sports events. Kayaking, canoeing, canoe slalom, and fencing were included in the Khelo India Youth Games for the first time.

The Khelo India Winter Games 2023, India's biggest grassroots-level multi-sport championship, will be held from February 10 to 14 in Gulmarg, a prominent hill area in Jammu and Kashmir.
